What is DreamHack Summer Sweden?

DreamHack is more than just a gaming festival. DreamHack have been creating experiences for people to share their gaming passion since 2005 when they took over the a park and turned it into an interactive event with live music performances by top tier artists from all around Europe.

In 2022, DreamHack will be bringing this amazing experience onto your feet by hosting three days worth of esports tournaments, including professional competitions where the winners win cash prizes while others enjoy watching them battle head-to-head. For those who prefer less intense but still exciting matches, make sure not miss out either because there’ll also be recreational game environments set up!

Main Events & Tournament Information

LAN

The DreamHack LAN is the core of any DreamHack festival. With reserved seats and power outlets for your gear, it’s an area where you can come to play video games or just relax with friends! You’ll never feel lonely because everyone brings their own computer (or console) along too – so there’s always plenty of people to play alongside no matter what game you decide on playing.

The best part? All this awesome equipment comes at absolutely NO COST whatsoever; simply purchase a BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) ticket.

Esports Tournaments

• DreamHack Hearthstone Fest – a 2-day Hearthstone Battlegrounds event open for everyone with a ticket to DreamHack Summer. Limited to 200 players who gather at DreamHack Summer 2022 and compete for $20,000 USD and the title of the first Hearthstone Fest champion!

• ESL Pro League Conference Season 16 – For the first time, ESL Pro League Conference will be played in front of a crowd on LAN at DreamHack Summer. Boasting 16 hungry teams all looking to qualify for the ESL Pro League. We will have 6 spots up for grabs in Jönköping.

• Brawl Stars Championship Mid-Season Invitational – The long-awaited tournament will begin on June 18 and feature the 8 best teams in the world clashing for a cash-only tournament. At DreamHack Summer you will be able to spectate top-tier Brawl Stars on LAN for the first time in over two years!

Creator Hub

DreamHack is taking the concept of a ‘Creator Hub’ to another level this year by offering content creators and professional esports players an opportunity for even more interaction with their community, as well as unique perspectives on what it means to be creative in gaming from DreamHacks newly renovated Stream Studio.

Mainstage Events

The best way to enjoy a concert is live, in-person. You can’t beat hearing an artist’s voice or guitar licks with your own ears and nothing between you but silence! That being said – we all know how hard it is for some concerts to get booked these days so if streaming isn’t really what gets you excited then maybe try out one of the great headphone sets around that will let fans hear exactly what they deserve: crystal clear sound from every seat at this show!.

Expo

You will find a plethora of new experiences at this year’s expo! You can demo cool gear, buy trinkets from other businesses in the industry or take part in competitions. There’s so much going on with DreamHack’s partners who have booths here as well – stop by their table if you’re interested because they’ll be able to tell you all about it!

Cosplay

Sublimity is coming to DreamHack Summer with a prestigious Cosplay competition where both an impressive 25,000 SEK prize pool and entry into the Swedish championship are up for grabs. 

• Dreamhack Cosplay Parade – Sat 18^th June – Jönköping is a dreamlike city with historic buildings and plenty of culture. This year, the new Cosplay Parade will take place alongside Jokkmokk – City Of DreamHack at 14:00 (TBC). Participants can pick up an official flier outside our building’s south lobby from 13:30 on day-of; they’ll be shuttled downtown before heading back in time for opening ceremony Elmia mats Function Hall hosted by Sveriges Television AB or national television networks ARD/ZDF based inside Scandinavia’s largest gaming facility!

• Dreamhack Cosplay Championships – Mon 20^th June – Cosplay has always been a big part of gaming culture and you could join the next competition. You will compete in three different classes: Craftsmanship, Performance, or why not both? The walk-on round is only available to those who enter as individuals so make sure your costume looks perfect from every angle!
  • Best Craftsmanship (24 slots) – 5,000 SEK (€478)
  • Best Performance (16 slots) – 5,000 SEK (€478)
  • Best Cosplay – 15,000 SEK (€1432) + Golden Ticket!

The cosplayer who impresses the judges most will receive a Golden Ticket to Sweden’s prestigious Cosplay Championship.

Dreamhack Wheel

The DreamHack Wheel is the connection between all of your activities at this year’s festival. You can win amazing prizes by spinning it with DreamCoins, which are earned through various activations across multiple locations throughout the event!
