Who Are FURIA Esports Team?

FURIA Esports is a Brazilian-based organization famous for competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournaments. FURIA was founded in August of 2017 by current CEO, Jamie “raizen” Pádua, where the unknown team began its journey into Legend status.

FURIA’s Beginning

FURIA made their debut into the Counter-Strike scene by signing the former roster of INTZ e-Sports,  spacca, prd, guerri, caike, VINI. FURIA’s first year as an organization was relatively successful, placing second in a multitude of small local tournaments such as Gamers Club Liga Professional in August and September of 2017 as well as Experience League 2017.

In 2018, FURIA began their journey into the international scene. After some disappointing results online and underwhelming performances at offline events in Brazil, FURIA decided to move overseas to compete in European tournaments.

VINI left the roster in January, s1 taking his space, only for s1 to leave and VINI to return in February followed by arT and scerato.

FURIA stuck with this roster until October 2018, where the squad turned up to a lot of championships. The most notable performances include a victory at Aorus League – Brazil: Finals – Season 1, a second-place position at ESEA Open Season 27 Brazil, and a victory at ESL LA Season 1.

Tournament Success

After these performances, the squad decided a roster change was necessary and Spacca was removed to be replaced by ablej. This lineup would be what took FURIA to the first Major tournaments of the organization’s lifetime, where the team came 2nd place in Americas Minor Championship – Katowice 2019.

Success followed, with FURIA finishing second at DreamHack Open Rio de Janeiro 2019 and Esports Championship Series Season 7 Europe. This year started off well, which then fell off in the latter part of 2019 after a few disappointing results which landed the team 20th in the Berlin major.

This was when Ablej’s space in the team was taken by HEN1, and the online tournaments which followed in 2020 resulted in FURIA’s fame today, where they won BLAST Premier Spring 2020 and DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 in the early year, followed by DreamHack Open Summer 2020 in August and became champions of Intel Extreme Masters XV New York, only to finish the streak in a 1st place finish at BLAST Premier Fall 2020.

Where Are FURIA Esports Now?

FURIA is now a team to watch, having firmly established themselves as a top CS:GO organization in the competitive scene. With their strong play and incredible teamwork, FURIA Esports is sure to continue making waves in the Counter-Strike community for years to come.
