What is Glasgow Anime & Gaming Con?

Glasgow Anime & Gaming Con is a gaming convention that takes place annually in Glasgow, Scotland. The event is one of the largest gaming conventions in the UK, and attracts gamers from all over the world. The convention features a wide variety of gaming tournaments and competitions, as well as opportunities to meet with industry professionals and learn about new gaming products. Glasgow Anime & Gaming Con is an essential event for any gaming fan, and is not to be missed.

Main Events & Tournament Information

VIP/Priority can access the venue at 10AM while online standard tickets can do it at 12PM.

Please be aware that you will not be able to queue more than 30 minutes before your ticket type is allowed into the event.

Events end between 10pm to 12am depending on the schedule.

Anime & Manga Highlights

Anime Viewing Room 

Anime fans rejoice! Whether you’re looking to relax and watch your favourite shows or get your gaming fix, this is the place for you. With a variety of internet screenings from well-known series like DBZ abridged, there’s something for everyone. So come on down and experience the best in anime entertainment!

Manga Artists

The Artists Alley will be staffed with professional gaming illustrators who will be offering insight and tips on how to up your game. This is also the perfect place to sit down, draw and learn new art-tricks. So whether you’re a seasoned artist or just getting started, the Artists Alley is the place for you.

Anime/Geek Exhibitors 

There will be plenty of anime and gaming merchandise, DVDs, manga and more. Soon the full list of exhibitors and artists in attendance will be shared!

Live J-Pop/Anime themed Performers

J-Pop gaming fans will be thrilled to know that there will be several live performers throughout the day at the convention. Some of the guests include famous anime inspired singers and performers. This is a great opportunity to see your favourite stars up close and personal. Be sure to check out the full list of guests so you don’t miss a beat.


Cosplay has never been so popular, with competitions taking place each day and top prizes up for grabs. You can also find talks on the latest trends in cosplaying or have your photo taken by some professional photographers at this year’s event!

The two Cosplay contests, TheCosplayMasquerade is hosting a prize pool of up to £100s in prizes between them. The Sunday winner will also take home £100 cash. 

The cosplay masquerade will be held on both Saturday and Sunday at 4pm. Interested in competing? Sign up here! The pre-sign ups are open until one week before the event, so don’t miss out if you want a chance at winning these amazing prizes.

The top 3 placed winners from Saturday and Sunday’s Cosplay Masquerade will have a chance to qualify for the UK’s Cosplay Championship Finals of this year-long competition, which takes place in London. Cosplay Guests, Talks & Workshops 

They will have some of the best cosplayers in Great Britain making an appearance at this year’s event. They’ll be providing presentations throughout each day on different topics including a beginners guide to costume making or how they got started with props and Worbla crafting! 

Don’t forget there’s also mental health discussions available if that interests you too but most importantly go meet new people from all around our lovely country while enjoying great food provided by Post negativity cafe who are hosting these awesome events.

Cosplay is all about having fun, and that’s what this organization provides. From auctions to events like the Cosplay Blind-Date or QuickfireCosplay – you can bet they have something for everyone!

Cosplay Chillout & Photography Area 

They’re going to have areas dedicated for cosplayers, where you can chill out or take pictures with your favourite characters from any anime/ manga series! All in all I’m sure this will be an amazing experience that everyone involved anxiously awaits- especially those who are looking forward to making new friends while having some awesome times at this event!

RPG Scheduled Adventures 

Two hours of scheduled adventures. Just stop by and sign up on the day for any of their great games.

Pick Up & Play RPGs 

You’ve been searching for an easy way to get your gears turning again, and this is it! With almost a dozen quick-playing indie RPGs that can be turned up in just seconds. You’ll have more time than ever before exploring new possibilities with friends or family members without having any difficult conversations about what type of game you want to play next.

Board Games

They include Bang!, Betrayal at House on the Hill, Carcassonne, Cards Against Humanity, Channel A, Concept, Coup, Dixit, Dungeon Roll, Flame War, Fluxx, Forbidden Island, Hanabi, Love Letter, Munchkin, Pandemic, Sentinels of the Multiverse, Shadow Hunters, Snake Oil, Takenoko, The Resistance and many more. There are aprox 100 games to choose from!


Join them for this two day event where you’ll find tournaments with prizes provided throughout both days as well as free-play sessions. Tournaments typically include Yu Gi Oh and Magic the Gathering!

Video Gaming

Spend a weekend playing video games with friends and strangers alike! The event will feature many different setups to suit every gamer’s needs, including PC-, indie- or modern console gaming. You can also enjoy an entire retro lounge for those who want their nostalgic fix without leaving the comfort of home – all under one roof (or two).


Get ready for an exciting weekend of gaming and anime at the next Anime & Gaming Con! There will be nearly a dozen tournaments featuring tickets to this year’s event, including favourites such as Smash Ultimate (and its predecessor) Mario Kart 8. 

You can even win some great prizes if you’re willing enough: beat one opponent in elimination rounds or score higher than others on judged stages. All while dressed up like your favourite character from any TV show/manga series imaginable!

Challenges are a great way for gamers who don’t want to spend too much time playing games. They can jump in and out at their leisure, trying different challenges on various events that change from event-to -event! 

Some examples include the Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy challenge where you have three minutes with each level; DDR/ Frequency hurdle which requires players dance until they fail or get disqualified (it’s complicated); Racer against time mode similar marbles but instead using cars manufactured by Red Faction Guerrila–and many more so there will always be something new every trip through those doors.

Retro & Modern Gaming Casual Play 

They’ve got a great selection of games to keep you entertained, whether it’s multiplayer or single player. You’ll find all your favourite classics here as well! Stop by and see what they have in store for gamers like yourself – there are hundreds upon thousands hiding somewhere within those walls.

PC Gaming & Indie Gaming 

They now have a bunch of new games to check out and they’re all set up in the store! They’ll be giving you an opportunity to play these top-end PCs, so make sure you don’t miss this event. Plus there’s more retro PC gaming along with indie favourites on offer too.

Main Stage Events


Cosplay talks are just the beginning of what’s in store at this year’s event! There will also be a wide range or varying topics such as acting, RPGs and gaming- not to mention an amazing array of related activities on display for all attendees.

Cosplay Masquerades 

There are two cosplay masquerades planned for this year’s con. One on each day, with a £100 prize waiting to be won by the winner of Sunday’s event!

Dub That Anime

Go and see a unique performance that will leave you in stitches! They’re about to embark on an adventure where participants can dub their own 30 second clip live from the stage. The louder, funnier it is – think Abridging but with more time for laughs (and maybe even some tears). This event has been designed especially if you have never seen anything like this before; whether as individuals or groups of friends…

The Talent Show

If you have something special up your sleeve – go and show them what it is! You could win a £50 cash prize, plus the opportunity to develop your act with one of our expert mentors. 

Lip Sync Battle 

You will be able to battle other participants on stage and lip sync your favourite tracks.

Cosplay Auction 

Cosplayer volunteers go up for bid to the audience, with proceeds going to charity!

Big Geek Quiz 

Join your friends and neighbours for an epic game of Quiz Bowl! The first team to score five points wins. You can make it a doubles round, or take on the ENTIRE helpless population as one big quiz team – but don’t forget that whoever knocks out all their opponents will walk away with £50 cash prize!!!

Big Geek Raffle 

For just £1, you can compete in and win a prize pool worth £100. It’s your chance to be one of the lucky winners.

Big Geek Adventure 

Join the Jolly Boat stage and become a willing participant in an adventure played by you.

Anime Bingo 

The game is similar to bingo, but with anime and gaming character heads on your card instead of numbers! You can also win £30 cash for being the best gamer in town.

Cosplay Blind Date 

The crowd goes wild as the host introduces a new player to ask questions of. It’s anyone’s chance at winning, so come prepared with interesting or funny queries!

Live Music Highlights

Who doesn’t love a good music festival? The Anime & Gaming Con is your chance to enjoy some great tunes from popular J-pop performers, up-and -coming bands (subject to availability) as well as other special guests throughout the event. Expect major announcements closer than ever before!


You’re invited to the party! Your ticket includes free access up until midnight on Saturday and Sunday, where you can enjoy karaoke sessions with some fun additions—including glow sticks for those who want them. 

The event will also feature different types of parties throughout: cheesy tunes in one area, geeks reminiscent of times gone past another–it’s really something special when we get together like this so don’t miss out by buying your tickets now!

Ticket Prices

General Tickets

  • Online tickets – £25 for both days
  • One day tickets – £15 for Saturday (£16 on the door) and £12 for Sunday (£13 on the door).

On the day tickets will be sold at 1PM.

They recommend buying online since it will guarantee you have a ticket and also for a cheaper price.

Under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult at all times. Anyone over 18 will be able to enjoy our gaming parties too (just remember to bring ID if you want to join in)

When you purchase your ticket to the gaming event, your name will be added to their guest list. You can then collect your wristband upon entry by presenting a valid ID or a printed or digital copy of your ticket. If you are unable to bring your ticket or ID, you may present a PayPal receipt instead.

If you buy your ticket beforehand you will be able to access it at 12pm. In case you hold Priority or VIP tickets you will be able to access it at 10 am.

Priority Member

For an extra £5, gamers can enter the event at 10AM instead of 12PM, giving them a two-hour head start on the competition. In addition, they’ll receive two clan membership badges (worth £1 each) and 5 Big Geek Raffle tickets.

VIP Membership 

It is limited to 150 people. For just £10 extra, you can get early access to the event, two exclusive printed clan membership badges with your personalised nickname on them (worth £4), 10 Big Geek Raffle tickets, a limited edition tote bag for the event worth £7 and your choice of poster worth £2.
