The Insomnia Gaming Festival was established in 1999 as the i-Series, a local LAN (Local Area Network) event where gamers could play together as a community. It now has 40,000 visitors to Insomnia each year, and its LAN parties have grown to be the biggest in the UK, with 2,800 gamers congregating for a weekend of nonstop 24-hour gaming action.
