League of Legends World Championship
Riot Games has announced that they will be executing a robust continental tour for the League of Legends World Championships. The event, which is set to take place in Mexico City with play-ins and group stage matches happening across North America before moving onto Toronto where there are semis followed finally ending up at San Francisco as finals! This represents just how international this championship game gets each year.

Riot revealed their plans to “canvas North America” with two stops in Mexico and Canada for this year’s multinational World Series of League of Legends. The announcement was made at a press conference prior before tonight’s Golden State Warriors vs Toronto Raptors game, which featured teams from both semifinal cities (TOR & SF) as well as the finals location – San Francisco!
League of Legends is one the most popular games in North America, Europe and SouthEast Asia. The Worlds 2022 venue lineup also includes Play-Ins from LoL Esports’ Liga Latinoamerica (LLA) competition arena before contesting both Groups and Quarterfinals at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater – so fans can get their fix no matter where they are!
