The most engaged adult audience in Ontario will be captivated by Ottawa Comiccon, an annual event dedicated to pop culture. This year’s celebration takes the form of a fan convention with multi-genre content: comic books and sci-fi among other things! With so many companies demonstrating their wares featuring several exhibits throughout make this experience unlike any other aimed at fans who are looking for games or toys – there is something here sure to catch your eye whether you’re into horror movies/TV shows, anime or video games.
At these events, fans have the opportunity to meet their favourite creators from all around comics and BD. They can get an autograph or buy one of their sketches for themselves as well! One big draw is being able to see who’s behind some popular TV shows/movies in person- celebrities participate by attending photo opportunities & stage performances that accommodate up 300 – 2000 people per day (depending on venue).
Go dressed as your favorite pop culture character for the masquerade and compete against other fans in this amazing competition. You’ll be able to see over 40 competitors and judge them yourself on stage before finally winning prizes!
The three-day Con is like no other! Over 50 panels and workshops provide a variety of opportunities to learn more about the comics, costuming industry as well pop culture in general.
The event will allow you to hear celebrity speakers talk about their experiences in the business and current or upcoming projects. It’s a great opportunity for fans who are looking forward to seeing how these stars have changed over time!
A detailed schedule will be available 7 to 10 days prior to the event.
The stars are coming to town! Meet and get autographs from some of your favorite celebrities at this year’s event. You can purchase 8X10 photos with them directly on site, or bring anything else you want signed too – just make sure it’s legal. There is also a schedule available 7 days beforehand that tells all about when they’ll be signing throughout both sessions.
Strike a pose with your favorite guest! A professional team of photographers will be on hand to capture that special moment in our photo op room. Each session includes one 8 x 10 printed photo and up to 3 friends.
The Ottawa Comiccon is like a Universe of SuperHeroes and Villains come to life. With panels for everyone, there’s something here that will be perfect whether you’re just starting out or looking forward into retirement!
Expect workshops on how best utilise your skills in creating costume pieces as well any other creative project ideas including video games demo sessions from experts who have been careers thus far at this event – all waiting patiently until they get their chance to shine bright among the spotlight again.
Ottawa Comiccon is a three day event where attendees can experience more than 450 exhibitor booths with items such as artwork, video games and toys. Go to the masquerade on Saturday and show off your costume making skills! Whether it’s from a world-renowned artist like Picasso or an anime protagonist, this competition puts you in the spotlight. You can go onto stage for some photogenic poses but be careful – there may also come battle scenes with ninjas alongside artistic masterpieces so don’t miss out!!
A great way to make sure everyone has fun at our next event is by dressing up as their favourite characters.
On the night of elegance, there is no greater display than aetherial winners walking towards their prize with pride. The Masquerade Awards brings together competitors in different skill levels to see who can be deemed most skilled at what they do; whether it’s painting or sculpture–every profession has its own division!
The Capital City Garrison is home to the 501st Legion members of Eastern Ontario! An international costuming group featuring bad guys from Star Wars, this all-volunteer organisation consists of over 75 local volunteers dedicated to making people happy through charities and fundraisers. They’re also committed doing good by being “Bad Guys Doing Good.” Get ready for the annual holiday celebration–it’s going be epic!!!
The League Of Super Heroes is Ottawa’s cosplay group for those fueled by a passion. They create both screen and comic book accurate costumes to honour their favourite superheroes, anime characters or video game protagonists! With events throughout the year including masquerade balls in collaboration with local charities & public appearances at least once per month.
Cosplay is a popular form of entertainment in the Doctor Who community. Cosplayers dress up as their favourite characters from television shows and movies, but sometimes they go one step further by making renovations to make them exactly how you see them onscreen! The DWSC offers events specifically for this type of apparel with plenty more surprises waiting around every corner – including screenings at the upcoming convention right now near Toronto!
The Capital Ghostbusters are a group who dress up as ghost hunters and raise money for charity in the style of their favorite movie, “Ghostbusters”. As members of Ghost Corps they’re licensed to represent them on behalf both themselves or any other occasion that calls out “ghosts” by raising awareness about this iconic character through costuming! They’ve been doing it since 2016 when their first event took place at Rideau centre showcasing some awesome photo opportunities including meeting Vigo (from inside)!
